We’d never had a garden room before but Keith and Wendy were very patient and spent a long time discussing our outline thoughts while we came up with the final design.
We wanted to finalise the full details of the cabin well before we ordered it and they were happy to spend the time answering all our questions and finalising the project scope. This included Keith advising our landscape gardener exactly what he wanted by way of a sub base for the LCS supplied foundations. We are sure this preparatory time was well spent and meant that the cabin construction went without a hitch.
The build team (Lee, David and Dean) couldn’t have been more professional, hard-working, and friendly. The cabin construction was completely trouble-free with the team paying great attention to detail. The installation of the heat pump also went smoothly. There was no time-wasting and they involved us fully the very few times that a decision was needed.
We decided to use the electrician recommended by Keith and this meant that LCS’s first-fix electrical work was exactly what was required so final installation of electrics went without a hitch.
Everything was really well prepared, and everyone in LCS made every effort to ensure that we’d get a summerhouse to be proud of.
We’re more than happy to recommend this family firm.”

We’re absolutely delighted with our new log cabin!
It was a pleasure to see such effective team work in action – everyone clearly understood their roles and worked hard to complete the work in the shortest possible timescale. You have assembled an experienced, professional, polite and efficient group of tradesmen, ably led by yourselves and Lee and complemented by Dave, Davy and Edge. We made the correct decision in commissioning everything through yourselves from site preparation through to the finishing touches. Your explanations and advice throughout the process were clear and unambiguous and the eventual build was exactly what we were expecting. Extending the decking as an afterthought of ours was readily accommodated and the use of composite decking was a masterstroke! The heat pump is very efficient and the excellent insulation creates a great environment – we’ve been enjoying watching the Autumn rugby series!
We’re getting excellent usage out of the building and it’s a particular favourite of our grandson, who sees it as his ‘clubhouse’.

Vernon October 2020John and I want to thank you for our wonderful new log cabin summerhouse which surpasses all our expectations. We have been enjoying going out and sitting there reading and looking at the view towards the Lomond Hills which makes us think of you. We are so glad we decided to have the Heateasy air conditioner installed which we have on at the lowest heat setting and that along with the insulation, makes the log cabin very pleasant to sit in even on a cold, wet and windy day. I’m sure we’ll appreciate the cooling aspect on a hot and sunny Summer’s day. The erection of the building was done efficiently and the team worked really hard in some awful weather so that it would be built as quickly as possible. They all gave us the impression they had pride in their work and they made sure we were satisfied with the finished product. we are very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of Log Cabins Scotland. You made the whole process easy and straightforward from planning to completion. We will definitely give you a glowing review. We have already had very positive comments from dog walkers and neighbours who have had a good view of the summerhouse as they walk in the field next to us. Bright art studio Ceres 2018Dear Wendy We are absolutely DELIGHTED with our cabin. It far exceeds our wildest expectations. It is perfect. The whole process from start to finish has been completely smooth. I think the most impressive thing is how well you all worked together as a team. Everything went like clockwork from planning, designing right through to the build. We now have a cabin which meets our needs perfectly. The finish both inside and out is superb. We would like to thank Wendy- for taking time to find out just what we wanted ( difficult when we really didn’t know ourselves !) and suggesting our various options. Keith- for coming out to see our garden and making very pertinent suggestions Lee, David and Gavin- for creating the most amazing structure in a very short time. Balmullo Fife 2017Steve Barrowman After searching the internet and looking at all sorts of shed and cabins I finally decided to go to LOG CABINS SCOTLAND. We emailed and showed an interest in the design we liked We drove to Freuchie and were met by Wendy and right from the start she made us feel welcome and obviously knew what she was talking about and had very kindly arranged for us to drive to see a cabin very similar to the one we were looking at. We were given all the relevant information ref the time scales involved, build, electrics, roofing, insulation, windows, doors and treatments of the cabin. Then the guys turned up to dig the foundations in not the best of weathers but they guys cracked on fantastically and were going to do some other digging the next two days however a turn in the weather and the guys were there starting the build watching them build the cabin was amazing and they kept me informed all the way through asking where exactly I wanted my power sockets and ensuring all cables and wires were hidden then the roof and insulation, staining of the cabin shingles for the roof and finally the floor. The housekeeping of the site was outstanding I cannot fault the team of Wendy, Keith, Lee and Paddy for their extreme professionalism and craftsmanship. Bell August 2018Hi Wendy and Keith Well the cabin is up and looks as though it has (or should) have been there all the time. So many thanks for your service, pricing and efficiency. The cabin does look very pretty!. Nowadays, at least in my experience, you do not always get what you pay for, but here with your company you do. I watched with some admiration the guys working on the construction and fitting. They all knew exactly what they were doing and more importantly knew what their colleagues were doing. The standard of craftsmanship, I thought, was outstanding. A fine cabin emerged. I enjoyed the whole process…..because it was honest, straightforward and professional. I would say to anyone who might be considering such a Cabin and are wondering who to go to they should have no doubt in placing an order with LCS (Log Cabins Scotland). Robertson May 2016Hi Wendy Just a quick not re cabin. The Cabin is looking good, have put chips down round the side, back, and half the front, and a path to the doors, with some solar lights. Amanda has been using the Cabin constantly throughout the summer she loves sitting in the Cabin as it’s a lot cooler in there on a hot day, and she can enjoy the garden and being outside without having to be in direct sunlight. Gaming in the Cabin is really good as well plenty of room round the table of 6 people to play in comfort, WIFI is via the electric mains cable (so no extra holes required) so great for iPads or game consoles. The heater/cooler is working well (will see how it copes over the winter). David Mathieson has been down (he’s thinking of getting his cabin carpeted as well). Thanks again for a job well done, the boys were tidy workers, and the quick responses to any queries to yourself made the process stress free. All the best James
