Each of our bespoke buildings in many of our garden room and log cabin projects across Scotland have been customised to the needs of the customer.
What we have found over the years is that new prospects want to know more about some of the key elements in having a garden building, from starting at zero and arriving at being a happy customer.
There are some important things to consider so your garden office project is successful, such as knowing whether one of our affordable garden rooms can fit into the space you have available. Planning Permission
in Scotland we have planning that is – within 1m of boundary – no more than 2.5m high, and 4m to ridge, up to 30m2 or no more than 50% of your garden ground – unless you are in a listed building or conservation area, then you will require planning,

What can you have?
Any building, any size and log thickness – depending on use and purpose,
any windows and doors you want, nothing is standard as such,
Such as doors, single, solid, half glass, 3/4 glass, extensive glass, double doors 1.5-1.6 x 2m high, with any glass combination,
harmonica doors, sliding doors, bifold in 3 part or 4 part with heavy duty Roto hinges,
Commercial buildings doors come with heavy Roto hinges as standard,
You can have normal house glazing double glazed units as standard, or laminated foil safety glass, toughened glass, triple glazing if required,
Fixed windows, tilt and turn windows, outward opening windows,, tall side screens, opening or fixed,
high level long thin widows to grab light over the fence,
Note – our windows and doors come factory painted in any RAL colour,
Rooflights in landscape to fit between purlins, or portrait to fit between hipped roof rafters,
Velux, Fakro or Fentso makes supplied and fitted by our own staff,
Our doors come with inward opening and 3 point locking as standard, which is unique to LCS and developed with BHB,
Garage doors – we supply and fit Hormann and Wisinowskie garage doors of any type including automation.
Heating and Cooling – LCS has formed a division for this, called Heateasy Scotland, we have an F gas qualified engineer and we supply and fit air conditioning units to our customers buildings, but also to private and business clients too, air to air heat pumps are the most economical and best way to heat a solid log building, they heat the air inside the building by pulling it over heating coils in the indoor unit and expelling the heated air back into the room,
Moving air is the best way to keep the solid log construction at the same temperature all over an dit heats quicker and cheaper than any other form of heating systems
