but as you will notice from the very few we have supplied and built over the years – the pent roof style is not our favourite and we will usually steer clients away from them and onto a standard gabled apex roof – why? in our opinion there is nothing stronger than a triangle roof – apex, a pent roof will require heavier roof purlins to carry the slope 1 way, it will also mean that you will have a high wall – same height as the highest middle part of an apex roof, exposed to the elements, we get a lot of rain in Scotland so you will be taking all the rain water in 1 direction, its best to split that rainfall in 2 and go both ways.
